Óscar Fernández: “I’ve got nothing but praise for the boys who turn up every Sunday“
Valencia CF Mestalla signed off 2020 with a 1-1 last-gasp draw away at La Nucía. Valencia CF Mestalla head coach shared his post-match thoughts on the final fixture as they go into the Christmas break on a three-match unbeaten run.
“We come away with the feeling of having rescued a point when everything was lost but other than that. We’re a young squad who stood up and were counted at a tough ground in Segunda B.
We want to get those back-to-back wins. I’ve got nothing but praise for the boys who turn up every Sunday.
I told the boys to go home proudly. We‘ll continue to work on Monday to fine-tune things to keep going. We’ve got one fixture left to go until the end of the first half of the season but now is time to regroup, top up our energy levels, unwind for a few days and get players back from injury during this break”.
